Broadcasters Club - The Himalayan Chapter Celebrates National Youth Day

Today at All India Radio Dharamshala and the local youth celebrated the National Youth Day with lots of enthusiasm. Various events and programs were organized in this context.

The events were organized in association with Broadcasters Club - The Himalayan Chapter. Also the insights from our DC Kangra and SP Kangra were taken, which were very motivational for the youngsters who got an opportunity to meet with the two youth icons.

DC Mr. Ritish Chauhan guided the youth to be diligent, and hence be a part and parcel in building our Nation.
SP Mr. Abhishek Dullar persuaded the youth to follow the teaching of Swami Vivekananda Ji and to be physically fit and fine.

Mr. Rohin Dorga, recently selected as a HPS cadre officer was also at the event. He shared his views and said that discipline and perseverance are key ingredients for success and that we have to be dedicated and tread our own path.

Here Mr. T R Tong, the radio station head lit the lamp and everyone paid their obeisance to Swamiji and decided to follow his principles.
Motivational poems were narrated for the youth. The event was celebrated by distributing sweets and snacks and Mr. Sumit Sharma , Mr. GC Thakur , member of the AIR Dharamshala, and volunteers Mr. Mohit Angrish and Mr. Rijul Gill from dharamshalasmartcity.org were present.

NATIONAL YOUTH DAY CELEBRATION

Today a Golden Chapter was written in the history of our Dharamshala Smart City with the formation of ‘Broadcasters Club- The Himalayan Chapter’ (BCHC) which was conceived a week back.

The club activities commenced today with an interaction between the volunteers of the BCHC and the DC  and SP Kangra on the eve of the National Youth Day (Celebrated on the Birth Anniversary of Swamy Vivekanad Ji )

Tomorrow we will be celebrating our National Youth Day and the event will be broadcasted at 06:06pm on the local All India Radio station.(FM 103.4 MHz)

Everyone’s ideas and suggestions are welcome for such events in the near future.

Broadcasters Club- The Himalayan Chapter (BCHC) was formed under the dynamic leadership of Sh. Sumit Sharma Ji (Program Executive AIR Dharamshala and the volunteers from dharamshalasmartcity.org and AIR Dharamshala). The whole concept began with a fresh idea of spotting, training, and promoting talent especially among the youth so as to provide them with a platform to showcase their abilities and talent.

dharamshalasmartcity.org in association with Municipal Corporation , Dharamshala organized a run for Dharamshala Smart City in which there was a huge participation from all walks of life , especially the women athletes from SPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA , The Police Department under the leadership of S.P. Abhishek Dular , Executive Officer and his team representing the Municipal Corporation and the local youth .

The event was flagged off from Fuhwara Chowk , Kotwali Bazar at 7:15 am with around 300 people running for Smart city awareness . The event concluded at Police Ground where the people participated in various events .

DHARAMSHALA SMART CITY WELCOME MARCH KOTWALI BAZAR & MCLEODGANJ

dharamshalasmartcity.org in collaboration with YOUTH CLUB DHARAMSHALA organized a Welcome March for DHARAMSHALA SMART CITY project as well as the formation of MUNICIPAL CORPORATION at KOTWALI BAZAR DHARAMSHALA and MCLEODGANJ today. 

Where the people were informed and inspired to be a part of this ambitious project. People were persuaded to register on the union government portal mygov.in to send their proposals and play their role in making our city smart , so that our city reaches Top-20 cities.

The Smart City Dharamshala Project was blessed by the valuable suggestions of His Holiness The Dalai Lama.

The team working on the Smart City Mission and the volunteers from dharamshalasmartcity.org met His Holiness The Dalai Lama for his valuable suggestions for development of  Dharamshala as Smart City. Of all the things discussed, the key suggestions that were highlighted by His Holiness are as follows :

Development of earthquake proof infrastructure should be ensured, so that the people are safe.

Harmony and sense of sharing among different communities residing in Dharamshala should be promoted.

He recommended rain water harvesting as a smart solution to conserve water and will also be a smart step for the future. He also mentioned that along with paying attention to the big cities with more and more flyovers and cars, the focus should also be on the development of city peripheral areas as well as the rural areas.
